Junior Golfers

Young golfers will enjoy the challenge and the atmosphere of the Club. With around 60 members in the junior section Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club has a good reputation for junior golf and offers tuition, competitions and team events.

For those new to the game there is a coaching program, which leads into full junior membership, this includes ongoing coaching, use of all the practice facilities and summer weekly evening competitions. There is also a pre-junior section, for the under 12s, with no handicap.

• Club juniors represent the County



• Juniors have successfully played for the men’s ‘A’ team in the Brokenhurst Stag, Beckford Bowl and make valuable contributions in County 7’s



• Students from Hampshire, Dorset and Sussex participate in the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence course run by Brockenhurst College in conjunction with the club and our Professional, Bruce Parker

From juniors to champions.

• Kevin Weeks, past Captain of the Hampshire, IOW and Channel Islands Golf Union joined as a junior in 1968



• Martin Young played for England and won the English mens open mid-amateur championship in 2006.



• Liz Bennett, started as a club junior, and went on to win the 2006 English Ladies Amateur Strokeplay Championships. Liz is currently ranked the number one English amateur lady and is a member of the G. B and I Curtis Cup team.
