Veterans Open - Individual Stableford Rules

1. Format: Stableford Qualifying Competition. Played in threes or fours (depending on numbers).
2. Eligibility: Competitors must have reached the age of 60 years by the date of the competition and must have a handicap index of 22.5 or less on the date of the competition (higher handicaps may enter but must play off 22.5 for the competition). Handicap allowance: 95%.
3. Starting times will commence at 9.30am from three tees. Starting times and associated player information will be circulated in advance of the competition date via e-mail and will be available from the 10th June. If you would prefer to receive your starting times by post please provide a stamped address envelope.
4. Entries into the Veterans Open can be made ONLINE, or by completing the enclosed entry form and returning to ‘Opens co-ordinator’, Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club, Sway Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7SG’. The entry fee for this event is £40 (includes competition entry, coffee and bacon roll on arrival and a hot & cold buffet after play). Please make cheques payable to ‘Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club’. Entries are accepted on a first come first served basis.
5. Closing date: 28th May.
6. Cancellations: No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made after 28th May.
7. Local rules are as printed on the scorecard provided on the day. Any additions or changes to these local rules will be notified to you on the day of the competition.
8. Prizes/Results: The results/prize presentation will be presented as soon after the last card has been returned at approximately 4pm. In the event of a tie, a decision will be made on count-back.
9. Committee: This competition is organised by the Competition Committee of Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club who will rule on any dispute that may arise and their decision shall be final.
10. Distance Measuring Devices are permitted on the course.
